How to Scan

The scan feature allows Apple or Android users to simply scan the bar code on the back of drivers’ licenses to auto fill names and addresses of signers. The upgrade eliminates most (if not all) of the typing required to make an entry.
The scanning feature works with all recent versions of Apple and Android devices. A few pointers:
Step 1:
Make sure you have downloaded the most recent version of NotaryAct.
Step 3:
In the App tap the “Scan ID to Pre-Fill field
Step 4:
Position the bar code on the back of the license within the rectangle on the screen – Info will automatically load when in focus. In low light tap the screen for flash.
Step 5:
Try to position the license against a neutral color background (not multi colored granite counter tops)
